MAHEC strives to improve the supply and distribution of the healthcare workforce in Western North Carolina.
The Health Careers Education Awareness Programs are designed to increase education awareness of opportunities that will
heighten knowledge of health careers and workforce diversity in the region by providing practical information to assist
in guiding students in making informed decisions about health career opportunities. This initiative is also designed to
build linkages and become partners with the K-12 education communities. To meet these goals, we start recruiting in the
early stages of education.
