Student Housing Information and Application Form
MAHEC offers a variety of housing throughout western North Carolina. For housing in the immediate
Asheville/Hendersonville area, please contact
MAHEC Facilities Management.
Housing at all other sites is arranged by the
Office of Regional Primary Care
Education (ORPCE).
First preference is given to health professions students on AHEC-funded rotations. Students from UNC-CH,
Duke, ECU, UNC-C, UNC-G, UNC-W, Methodist, Winston-Salem State, Western Carolina and Wake Forest are
considered as AHEC-funded. Costs: in-state, AHEC-funded, free; out-of-state and non-AHEC funded $325/month
(including a $50 deposit).
Other applications will be accepted, space permitting, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Even if you are not AHEC funded, submit an application as soon as rotation dates are confirmed.
Making reservations as early as possible is advised for all students.
