Selection of the residents is based on the following criteria:
Applicants must be a graduate of a fully accredited North American Dental school. Successful completion of the National Boards Part I is required. Licensure in North Carolina is not required for admission but is encouraged. All application forms must be received by November 15th for admission in July.
PASS Application
Participation in the PASS application program is mandatory. In order to meet the November 15th application deadline, completed PASS documents should be submitted to the PASS office no later than November 2nd of the year preceding the year for which the applicant is applying. Presently, the program participates in the Matching Program co-sponsored by the American Association of Hospital Dentists. The administration of the Matching Program, including the performance of the match, is carried out by National Matching Services, as an independent contractor.
