Strategies for a Busy Practice:

Community based medical practices are extremely valuable as sites for training health professionals. At the same time, most practices are becoming more hectic.

What can you do to integrate learners into your practice while maintaining your sanity and your bottom line? Five strategies to enhance the experience are presented. These ideas and helpful hints were collected from other community preceptors.

As you review these suggestions, think about your experiences as a preceptor. What nuggets of wisdom can you share? Do you know something that worked or perhaps didn’t turn out so well? We would love to hear from you and share your thoughts. Go to Talk Back with Dr. PDP.
