Comprehensive Health Information Sites
MEDLINEPlus: Information on hundreds of diseases, conditions, drugs and wellness issues; medical dictionaries and encyclopedias and current health news, in English and in Spanish.
NC Health Info: Online guide to Web sites of quality health and medical information and local health services throughout North Carolina.
Healthfinder: Prevention and Wellness Information, Drug Interactions checker, News and more. Includes many documents in Spanish.
Family Doctor: Health information from the American Academy of Family Physicians. Handouts are simple one- to two-page documents.
NOAH: New York Online Access to Health. One of the most comprehensive Spanish language sites for health info in existence.
PubMed: PubMed is the National Library of Medicine's search service that provides access to over 11 million citations in MEDLINE, PreMEDLINE, and other related databases, with links to participating online journals.

Mental Health
The American Psychological Association Help Center: information on a wide array of mental health topics including healthy habits for families, coping with job loss, and how to talk to a psychologist.
Mental Health America: dedicated to helping people live mentally healthier lives. This site offers information and online communities.
NAMI: National Alliance on Mental Illness: provides information and support for mental illness. Included on this site are links' to local support groups, advocacy resources, and online communities.

Drug Digest: prescription drug information including a photo and interaction checker. Interaction checker includes herb and supplements.
MEDLINEPlus and Healthfinder: both of these comprehensive sites include drug information.
NeedyMeds: a 501(3)(c) non-profit with the mission of helping people who cannot afford medicine or healthcare costs.

Complementary and Alternative Health and Wellness
NCCAM: The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine
Dietary Supplements Labels Database: Information about ingredients in more than two thousand selected brands of dietary supplements.
HerbMed: An herbal database, hyper linking directly to the scientific evidence on the use of herbs for health. The herb database is fully searchable and covers: evidence for activity, warnings and contraindications, methods of preparation and mechanisms of action.
Duke University Alternative and Complementary Therapies: Meta-site for sources of information on alternative medicine; organized by treatment categories.
